For us, sustainability means aligning successful economic activity with responsibility for the environment and society – consistently and over the long term. This principle has guided us since our family business was founded in 1983.

Sustainability has many facets. At the centre are our guests, whose expectations we strive to meet every day. Achieving this requires exceptional performance. The following aspects especially characterise our hotel, and we are continuously working to develop them further.

We are a Swisstainable certified hotel.

Energy Concept

Efficient energy management is of great importance to our hotel, both from an environmental and economic perspective. By consistently using waste heat and energy recycling, we have reduced our energy consumption by 40% since 2002 – even with increased building size and a rise in overnight stays. This makes us one of the most energy efficient hotels in Switzerland.

Eco-friendly Park

Our natural park is an oasis for plants, animals—and, most of all, our guests. Covering 2,500 m², it is home to native trees, flowers, and birds, providing the perfect setting for walks or relaxation

Photovoltaic System

We were pioneers in the field of photovoltaics and have been using solar power since 2010.

Solar Thermal System

For over 20 years, our solar thermal system with vacuum tube collectors has produced heat that is used for hot water and to support the heating system

Our nature-friendly garden is an oasis for plants, animals – and, of course, for our guests. Covering 2,500 m², native trees, flowers, and birds provide a relaxing place for walks or quiet moments.
